The Lady Victoria Colliery has inspired artists across the world! From the vaulted arches of the Undercroft to the towering beauty of the Pithead, come along and be inspired!
This is a self-led workshop, a member of NMMS will meet you to show you the spaces available to explore and then we leave you to draw, paint, photograph at your own pace. Often, there will be special exhibitions on which we can offer a guided visit of.
Additionally, NMMS has a Recognised Collection which includes paintings, photographs, sculptures and statues. Special visits can be arranged to view our art collection with a guided visit and talk with a member of our curatorial team. Collection care, tying in with careers/employability, can also be included.
While self-led, all group visits must be booked in advance and we are happy to provide a space for equipment to be left in as well.
